CE Week is bringing the popular connected car category back to the show through a new partnership with the Mobile Electronics Association. The Connected Car Show, featuring both an exhibit and conference, will take place in conjunction with CE Week, June 20-21 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
The focus of the Connected Car Show will be to bring attention and awareness to changing vehicle technology trends on both the OEM and aftermarket sides of the vehicle, and showcase new technologies that can enhance the drive, whether they are factory- or aftermarket-installed. The exhibit floor will feature innovative companies whose connected-vehicle products currently drive the market
The Connected Car Conference will bring together the top thought leaders from automotive, technology, research and media for series of thought-provoking panels including:
- Personalization: Upgrading the Connected Car: The aftermarket works to fulfill the consumer’s desire to upgrade with technologies that make the vehicle safer. A panel of industry leaders will explore the challenges to keeping that technology up-to-date for the lifespan of the vehicle.
- Connectivity to Support Vehicle Automation: Automated vehicles' ability to improve safety and mobility is greatly enhanced when the automated vehicle is also connected to smart cities and other connected vehicles. Our panel of experts will ask questions such as: What steps are we taking to ensure connectivity? What can you do to support the cause?
- Understanding the Road to Zero Fatalities for the Autonomous Vehicle: The goal for the future is to reduce accidents using technology to assist the driver. We’ll discuss the timetable to autonomous vehicles, what it will mean for how drivers commute, and what opportunities such vehicles provide to reduce and eliminate accidents.
- The Internet of Connected Vehicles: In this session, we'll look at how connected vehicles are changing the way that drivers and passengers are impacted by IoT features and services and how brands are capitalizing on these new capabilities to collect better consumer insights, establish stronger loyalty and create new value streams.
“For several years we had a successful conference dedicated to the connected car category and based on attendee feedback it was something they missed and wanted us to bring back,” said Robert Stott, Editorial Director, CT Lab Global Media. “We’re thrilled to partner with the Mobile Electronics Association to launch a new connected car conference and exhibit at CE Week 2018. We felt it was important for this conference to return and address the rapidly changing vehicle technology.”
“The Connected Car Show at CE Week will allow our member companies and the automotive industry to showcase their latest technologies.” said Chris Cook, MEA president. “CE Week is the perfect venue to create dialogue that will impact the future driving experience.”
The Connected Car Show is an official partner of CE Week, the consumer technology industry’s annual exhibit and conference, June 20-21 in New York City. Media who register for CE Week will have access to the Connected Car Show’s exhibit and conference.
