CE Week Mobile Health Panel Focuses on Get-Well Apps’ Future
Those health and fitness apps that are captivating smart tech users these days? They’re here to stay—and they’re only going to get more popular and plentiful.
Such apps were the focus of the “Mobile Health” panel discussion held held during CEA Line Shows at CE Week June 28 in New York City.
Panel Moderator Eric Adams, senior editor of Men’s Health magazine, introduced the session by reviewing the current state—and future projections—for health apps.
“The research we’ve done so far is quite surprising,” he said. “A research firm called Frost and Sullivan projects that the American mobile health market will go from 230 million in 2010 to 392 million in 2015, so it’s basically going to more than double within the next five to 10 years; 1.16 billion people worldwide will be using mobile health technology by 2020.”
