CE Week Panel Tries to Make Sense of the Internet of Things
Now that the Internet of Things is beginning to rise, what does it mean to consumers? That was the subject of a CE Week panel Thursday on The Internet of Things: Now in Control of Your Smart Home.
The panel featured representatives of three big manufacturers in the space: Colin Marshall, Vice President of Oomi (smart home system), Robin Foreman, VP Marketing & Business Development for Sengled (LED lighting) and Matt Swatsky, Director of Product Management, Lutron Electronics (lighting.) They were joined on the panel by researcher Ross Rubin of Reticle Research and moderator Timothy Torres of PC Mag.
What did the panelists think about the Internet of Things? For one thing, one of them doesn’t even like the term.
