CE Week Women in CE Forum 2013 Provides Education and Solid Career Advice
After just a few years, the Annual Women in CE Forum at CE Week has become a must-attend event every June. This year’s theme, “Empower Your Entrepreneurial Spirit—A Career Enhancement Forum” took place June 25 at NYC’s Rubin Museum of Art.
The Forum served up a full day of sessions, topics, workshops and keynote speakers that relate to career enhancement for all corporate, small business and entrepreneurial women pursuing a career in consumer electronics.
So many great ideas and information came out of this jam-packed one day event starting with power house opening keynote by Kay Koplovitz. Kay is the founder of USA Networks, The SYFY Channel and a Game Changing Entrepreneur, having held such titles as Chairman of the Board, Fifth & Pacific (Formerly Liz Claiborne Inc.);Chairman and CEO, Koplovitz & Company; Chairman & Co-Founder, Springboard Enterprises. In 1998, President Clinton appointed Koplovitz to chair the bipartisan National Women’s Business Council. She used this platform to launch Springboard Enterprises in a move to get women entrepreneurs to “think big” about their growth companies and to raise venture capital to fund them.
