CEA Drops Tech Enthusiast Program
The Consumer Electronics Association said Wednesday that it will discontinue its Tech Enthusiast program, which was launched in 2010.
"CEA walks the talk and takes risks to innovate. Sometimes we fail and we learn from it and move forward. The TE program did not attract the large numbers we needed to make it viable so we are discontinuing it," Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA, said in a statement. "
CEA added that some of the consumer content currently on the Tech Enthusiast website will move over to a new consumer portal on CE.org, which will soon be redesigned.
