CEA Names Midterm Board Members
The Consumer Electronics Association said this week that it has named three new members to the Board of Industry Leaders (BIL), who are assuming their seats in the middle of the term.
eBay Marketplaces’ CTO, Matt Carey, will take over the seat formerly held by eBay North America’s president, Bill Cobb and hold it through 2009. Crutchfield Corp. founder Bill Crutchfield will take over an open seat and hold it through the end of 2009, while TTE Corp.’s Greg Bosler has been re-elected to the board and will serve out a term that ends in December of next year.
The maximum term for BIL members is three years. The board’s function, according to CEA, is to “shape CEA strategic goals, to assist the industry and members [and] to elect the executive board.”
