CEA Names New Board; Pidgeon is Chairman
As determined over the summer, Daniel Pidgeon of Starpower is the new chairman of the Consumer Electronics Association. The new executive board and board of industry leaders were elected Wednesday at the CEA Innovate! event in Arizona.
David Hagan of Boingo Wireless is now vice chair, with Jay McLellan of Leviton remaining on the board as past chair. Newly elected board members include Eliott Peck of Canon, John Penney of Starz, Michael Fasulo of Sony, Henry Juszkiewicz of Gibson, Mike Mohan of Best Buy and Sally Washlow of Cobra. Randy Fry, Steve Tiffen and Ron Freeman also remain on the board.
“CEA is proud to have such a highly experienced group of top executives from companies across the entire consumer technology spectrum serving in our leadership,” Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA, said as part of the announcement.
