CEA Praises Potential In-Flight Changes
The Consumer Electronics Association this week came out in favor of potential changes to government rules pertaining to use of electronics while in flight.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said this week that it will study the policies and procedures related to in-flight use of electronic devices.
“We applaud the FAA’s announcement," CEA vice president Doug Johnson said as part of the announcement. "E-readers, smartphones and tablets, for example, are commonplace devices for entertainment and business needs during air travel. We look forward to commenting on and contributing to the FAA’s initiatives focusing on the in-flight use of [portable electronic devices] and related policies.”
