CEA: Tech Confidence Increases
The measure of consumer confidence in consumer technology increased slightly in the month of May, while the number for the overall economy was slightly down, according to the Consumer Electronics Association.
The CEA Index of Consumer Technology Expectations (ICTE) increased by 0.5 points, while the CEA Index of Consumer Expectations (ICE) dropped 0.8 points.
“After a difficult first quarter, May’s sentiment suggests consumer appetite for tech is slowly improving,” Shawn DuBravac, CEA’s chief economist and senior director of research. said in a statement.
