CEA's Shapiro, Best Buy's Dunn Enter Variety Hall of Fame
CEA President and CEO Gary Shapiro was set to be inducted Monday into the Variety Home Entertainment Hall of Fame. The induction was announced last month.
Shapiro was inducted, Variety said, due to "his leadership in the home entertainment industry, including his leadership of the nation’s successful transition from analog to digital TV, and his stewardship of the world’s largest technology trade show, the International CES."
Other inductees include Best Buy CEO Brian Dunn and Hastings Entertainment President and CEO John Marmaduke, as well as Nintendo of America and the "Harry Potter" franchise.
