CEDIA: ESCs See More Revenue, Hires
CEDIA Monday released some results of its 2012 Benchmarking Survey of electronics systems contractors. The survey, according to CEDIA, found that such companies are "stable, growing again, and willing to take risks on new strategies to keep growing."
Among other results, the survey found that participants expect revenue to increase 12 percent from last year to this year, and that they will increase staff by 10 percent this year. In addition, 82 percent of ESCs said they expanded service or technology offerings to increase profits.
“The CEDIA Benchmarking Survey provides members with a clear understanding of how they can improve and strengthen their business in areas such as strategic and business planning, financial performance and management, operations, and staffing and compensation,” Erica Shonkwiler, CEDIA Market Research Manager, said as part of the announcement. “The survey also helps members of the industry assess opportunities for growth and development.”
