Building New Business
As it has in the past, CEDIA University will also present dozens of business management classes to help specialty dealers and custom installers increase the sales, profitability and efficiencies of their businesses. And those were some of the areas Brunson improved upon after integrating the high-voltage company into his daily operations.
The new division has brought increased efficiencies-such as cutting costs associated to working with a third party-to H&H Lifestyles lighting control business, one area that Brunson and other dealers say continues to grow and expand into energy management solutions in a time where other staples of the specialty dealer and custom installation trade, such as distributed audio, proprietary control systems and expensive home theaters, are shrinking.
"By having a high-voltage division within our company, the communication (with the low-voltage and other divisions) is smoother; the transition is smoother," Brunson said. "It creates the product we want to create, which isn't brand X lighting control, but an H&H Lifestyles lighting control system."
