CES Asia 2016 Gets Underway in Shanghai
On Tuesday, CES Asia 2016 opened up at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in Shanghai, China. The event, hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) and co-produced by Intex Shanghai, will run through Friday, May 13, and will include the unveiling of innovative tech products by more than 375 global tech companies from 23 countries.
In its second year, CES Asia has ballooned in size as attendees and exhibitors look for ways to make inroads in the booming Asian tech marketplace. The show floor spans 32,000 gross square meters across four exhibit halls in the SNIEC—doubling from the two halls it took up last year.
And aside from the tech product debuts, CES Asia 2016 will feature a “robust conference program” that includes keynotes from top executives at companies like Huawei, Alibaba, BMW, Intel, JD.com, Legendary Pictures, and Wanda Cinema Line. Those groups will be joined by other major brands like Monster, Pioneer, Cobra Electronics, Hisense, Gibson Brands, NavInfo, and more on the show floor. (The full list of exhibitors can be viewed here.) Additionally, the conference program includes more than 100 industry experts participating in 50 education sessions, and major press conferences.
