CES Home Theater Preview
At CES, January 8-11, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nev., a host of home theater technologies will be on display, attests Karen Chupka, senior vice president of events and conferences for CEA. “The latest advancements in audio and video technologies are driving the home theater market to new heights and CES is the place to see the latest and greatest products in this space,” says Chupka.
Featured exhibitors include Dolby Laboratories Inc., DTS, Earthquake Sound Corp., Kimber Kable, Klipsch/Jamo/Mirage/Energy, Meridian, Monster, Optoma Technology, Polk Audio, Runco/Vidikron, Thomson, THX Ltd., TTE and Westinghouse Digital Electronics. Home theater exhibitors will be located in both the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center and in the CES Sands Expo and Convention Center/The Venetian.
An assortment of conferences and SuperSessions will also cover the home theater market, including “The New Face of TV,” “Blu-Ray vs. HD DVD: And the Winner Is...,” “TV Technology Showdown,” and “IPTV: Television Over the Internet.” In addition, CES is once again creating market-specific TechZones, including home theater focused sections such as the Connected Home Entertainment TechZone, the HD DVD Promotion Group TechZone and the NextGen Home Experience TechZone.
