Challenge: The production of LCD TVs cannot keep up with the demand. Also troubling them, but this is nothing new, is bigger retailers getting even bigger. My customers in the metro area, who are mostly smaller retailers, face being eaten up by these monster-sized ones. They’re finding it harder to compete. The way we help them is by carrying brand-name products, and due to our relationship with manufacturers, we can bring in the merchandise at the best possible price and pass that on to them.
Trends: We’ve spent six months designing our Web site and the launch is about to happen any day. That will give dealers more current pricing and inventory information as well as features and specs. We’re a little late in the game as far as the Web goes, but because of that we have been able to see what others are doing and do it better. We hope to offer some kind of drop-shipping fulfillment program.
