Circuit City to Celebrate Windows Vista With Web Forum, Ten Parties
Circuit City plans to commemorate the launch of Windows Vista in two distinct ways. The first is to hold a series of launch parties at ten different store locations on January 29 at 10 p.m. through January 30 at 1 a.m. ET. This coincides with the pick-up availability of Windows Vista products that go on pre-sale at Circuit City on January 27 but become available at midnight on January 30. Customers at the parties will also be able to try out the OS, win prizes and meet celebrities.
The second event is a live Web forum hosted on the Circuit City Web site and moderated by PC Magazine Editor-in-Chief Jim Louderback, PCMag.com’s DL.TV podcast Executive Producer Patrick Norton and Circuit City firedogSM services team member Joe Elias. They will answer Vista questions submitted online via the Circuit City Web site. Questions can be submitted prior to the Web forum starting January 25. The forum itself takes place on January 29 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET.
Said Circuit City Direct President David L. Matthews, “This [forum] is another step in our journey to create a sense of community online where people can exchange views and learn about technologies, products and services.”
