Circuit City has taken issue with media reports Wednesday that a major vendor, Samsung, had asked for the return of nearly $74 million of consumer electronics hardware.
"Their actions are typical in a bankruptcy in order to file a claim with the court to protect their rights. It does not mean that a company is pulling its products," Circuit City spokesman Bill Cimino told Dealerscope. "We continue to work with Samsung and our other vendors to get the products we need for our customers."
A Samsung spokesman did not return a call seeking comment.
