Circuit City Extends In-Store Digital Media Deal
Circuit City and Premier Retail Networks (PRN) announced Monday that they have agreed to extend their relationship, under which the company will provide the retailer with its new, upgraded IPTV platform. The platform has already been tested in 25 Circuit City stores, and provides the company with in-store programming as well as technology and network operations.
PRN, which is owned by Thomson, has been in business with Circuit City since 1994.
“PRN’s programming and technology solutions are a key component of our in-store experience,” Circuit City’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, John Harlow, said as part of the announcement. “We’re excited to continue our successful relationship with PRN and upgrade the capability of our network.”
