Circuit City has put the completion of its new distribution facility in Pennsylvania on hold, the company told Dow Jones Newswires on Friday.
The Scranton, Pa., facility, which was to cost $45 million and employ over 300 workers, is being reassessed because “plans have evolved,” a Circuit City spokesman told Dow Jones. The new facility was to replace existing ones in Bethlehem, Pa., and Brandywine, Md., which in the meantime will remain open.
The 1.3 million square-foot Scranton facility had already been delayed until next year.
