Circuit City Loses Recommendation, Hires Advisers
According to the Washington Post, Circuit City has lost a recommendation from Bernard Sands, a firm which advises manufacturers on whether to ship goods to retailers.
In addition, Circuit City has confirmed that it is “working with advisers” on how to best proceed with its top-to-bottom company review, the AP reported Tuesday.
The retailer, which replaced CEO Philip Schoonover on an interim basis with James A. Marcum late last month, did not make clear what sort of advisers it had retained. It was reported last week that the company had brought in turnaround firm FTI Consulting Inc., but it is unclear if other, separate advisers had been retained.
