Circuit City Retains Omniture
Circuit City announced Monday that it has hired Omniture, Inc. to provide use of its programs, Omniture SiteCatalyst and Omniture Test&Target, in order to test its merchandising strategies. The purpose of the deal, according to Circuit City, is to “test the performance across its marketing campaigns and Web site in real time -- to increase the relevance of content, offers and merchandise presented to customers.”
Omniture’s existing clients include Walmart, eBay, Microsoft, Sony and HP.
“We have thousands of SKUs on our site and multiple product categories,” Circuit City senior vice president Brian Bradley said as part of the announcement, “so making sure our online visitors quickly find the items they are looking for -- and that the purchasing process is clear and simple -- is crucial to our business.” He added that the deal will also help Circuit City provide a “personalized shopping experience” to customers.
