Circuit City To Hold Annual Meeting Tuesday
Just a week after announcing a big first quarter loss, Circuit City is set to hold its annual shareholder meeting Tuesday.
According to the AP, analysts and investors are watching the meeting to see what will happen in regards to a potential sale. The company agreed last month to open its books to Blockbuster, Inc., in regards to a possible buyout.
This week’s meeting was to have seen a showdown between the company’s current management and activist investor Mark J. Wattles, but Circuit City and Wattles Capital Management reached a compromise in May.
