Circuit City Weighs Its Next Move
Circuit City is finally “in the mood” to be sold, after turning down multiple such opportunities in the last few years. But it doesn’t appear that any potential suitors have emerged for the beleaguered retail giant.
That’s according to a Wall Street Journal report Tuesday, which also found that Circuit City “is engaged in a review of options” that could include a full or partial sale of the company. The company had been up for sale, under pressure from shareholders, earlier this summer, although Blockbuster dropped its bid to buy Circuit City for $1 billion.
The story came as Circuit City’s stock fell once again this week, after the company delayed plans to open a distribution facility in Scranton, Pa.
