Circuit City Auction Set For Wednesday
Circuit City's planned auction of its ownership, originally scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, has been scheduled to begin Wednesday at 3 p.m., the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported. The "going concern auction" will likely result in the company being purchased in total.
The company said last week that it is being eyed by two separate interested parties, both of which would buy Circuit City and keep it in business. Also scheduled Thursday are auctions of various assets, including individual stores. The company, the paper said, will then take its best offer to the bankruptcy court Friday.
