Ex-Circuit City CEO Gets Bonus, Fees
Circuit City's last CEO will receive $350,000 in bonuses, as well as consulting fees, money that was approved by a bankruptcy court this week.
According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch James A. Marcum, who led Circuit City during its November 2008 bankruptcy filing and demise in early 2009, will receive the six figure sum in bonuses as well as $700 per hour in consulting fees. Marcum will receive the money for the work he did "winding down" the company in its final months.
Marcum has since become CEO of Central Parking Corp.
