Circuit City Sued For Porsche Joyride
Circuit City's wind-down proceedings just got one more headache- one right out of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
A New Jersey man has sued the now-defunct retailer, claiming that after he brought his 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo in for a stereo installation last October, an employee took the car on an unauthorized drive around the parking lot, when he hit a curb and caused $50,000 in damage to the $185,000 vehicle.
According to local news Web site MyCentralJersey.com, the car owner has sued both the chain and the employee himself. The suit notes that company rules prohibit employees from taking unauthorized test drives.
