Cleer Names Levine as Marketing VP; Displays Array of Smart Audio Solutions at CES
Audio industry veteran Aaron Levine has been named by audio and headphone manufacturer Cleer as its vice president of marketing. Levin brings two decades of experience to the job, having worked at various executive level positions in marketing, business development and PR at Sony Electronics, Pioneer Electronics, and at Sound United, the parent company of the Denon, Marantz, HEOS, Polk Audio, Definitive Technology, Boston Acoustics and Classé brands, where he most recently served as Senior Director of Global Marketing prior to this appointment.
Patrick Huang, president of Cleer, Inc. pointed to Levine’s record of managing “big-brand marketing and team building on a global scale,” adding, “we’re excited to see what he can do for Cleer.”
Levine was in attendance at Cleer’s CES South Hall booth, where the company introduced an array of new products. These included:
- The Cleer Connect Smart Display Speaker, which is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2-enabled and comprised of an 8-inch tilting LCD display paired with a two-way speaker system housed in an acoustic base. There is also a built-in camera for video calling, and an optimized mic array for enhance voice interaction and control via the Qualcomm APQ8053 Smart Audio Platform (June availability: $149.99).
- The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2-enabled Cleer Mirage Smart Display 3.1-channel Speaker (June; $499.99), offering 360-degree audio and Alexa-enabled voice control, paired with a curved 7.8-inch flexible AMOLED touch screen display which wraps around the device’s chassis. As on the Connect, the Mirage has a built-in camera for video calls.
- The Bluetooth 4.2-endowed Halo Wireless Neck Speaker (June; $149.99), optimized for Google Assistant control and made for personal listening without disturbing others. It is ergonomically configured for comfortable, long listening stretches as it will function for 12 hours on a single battery charge, and will recharge in just 10 minutes to provide two hours of playback. It is rated at IPX4 for splash resistance. Built into the unique industrial design are dual 32mm drivers.
