Targus and Retailers Think Outside of the Bag
Al Giazzon, along with retailers who sell computer accessories, faces an interesting dilemma.
As vice president of marketing for Targus, Giazzon has seen sales of his company’s computer bags increase over the last few years along with the popularity of notebook PCs. On the other hand, many of those consumers are using their new notebooks as desktop replacements, forgoing the purchase of a bag.
So, over the past year, Targus has developed a line of higher-end computer accessories for PCs and Macs - many of which the
company showcased at this week’s CES - to boost sales and brand relevance.
