CompUSA Launches Web Site For Closing Info
With the retail chain CompUSA closing after the holiday season, the company has launched a special costumer service Web site, in order to ensure “an orderly wind-down of retail operations.” The site can be found at www.compusaconsumerhelp.com
The store has said that its extended warranty program will still be honored, thanks to a special arrangement with Assurant Solutions. It will also honor all gift cards purchased prior to Dec. 12, for use during the closing sale, as well as all rebates from prior to that date. In addition, all sales made up until now are considered final.
Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, who owned the CompUSA chain, announced earlier this month that he was pulling the plug on the company’s remaining 100 or so stores, and selling their assets to the restructuring firm Gordon Brothers Group.
