Confidence Edged Up in February
The Consumer Electronics Association's monthly measure of consumer confidence saw upticks for both the overall economy and technology sector, CEA said Tuesday.
The CEA Index of Consumer Expectations (ICE) rose 0.3 points, while the Consumer Technology Expectations (ICTE) rose 0.5 points.
“Consumer expectations toward tech spending look strong on a year-over-year basis,” CEA Shawn DuBravac said as part of the announcement. “The next 60 days or so will bring a slew of new technologies to the market, as consumers see products that were announced at the beginning of the year hit store shelves.”
