Connected Car Trends: Connected Mobility & the Dangers of Disruption
As we enter CE Week 2016, we are greeted by some of the most exciting and challenging technology developments in history. One of these developments is the emerging adoption of connected mobility across numerous economic sectors, including transportation. This year, we are very pleased to present the Connected Mobility Conference, an important, forward-looking forum that will demonstrate the impact of connected mobility on industry, city planning, transportation and society.
The impact of connected mobility is disrupting entire industries, causing companies to examine their business models and adjust to new realities as consumers find new ways to discover, purchase, utilize and share products and services. A good example of this disruption is the auto industry, which has enjoyed an established manufacturing and merchandising model for over 100 years and is now in a state of upheaval.
