Consumer Confidence Still Mixed in June
The Consumer Electronics Association Tuesday delivered yet another mixed verdict on consumer confidence. Confidence in the technology sector increased, but was down for the overall economy.
Both numbers are down year-over-year since last June.
“Consumers showed increased interest in tech spending from the prior month,” Shawn DuBravac, CEA’s chief economist and senior director of research, said as part of the announcement. “In the last month there have been several major consumer tech announcements, including product launches and upgrades.”
