Consumer Electronics Community May Offer Jobs
Buying a meal for a few troops at an airport every now and again makes me feel good for a little while, but I would like to see a more lasting and rewarding outcome regarding the lives of these fine Americans and their families. In the last Sachs Report survey, we found that a third of you plan on hiring again this coming year. If we could get pledges to hire vets for some of these openings it’s easy to imagine the hiring of 3,000 to 5,000 vets in 2010.
Finally I would appreciate hearing from you and if you have hired a vet recently I would like to know that as well. Perhaps the Sachs Report will begin to keep score and report on progress.
Believe what you will about the two fronts we are fighting today, as we now understand that another 30,000 men and women will be engaging in the fight. We also know that over 7,000 troops will not be spending the holidays with their families in a few weeks as they prepare for deployment out of Camp LaJune in North Carolina. Can you be counted upon to help see that when they all come home one day, that for those who choose civilian life, we commit our best effort to find them work and take full advantage of their qualifications and extraordinary experience?
