Consumers Gain Confidence in November
Consumers got a bit bolder in November with today's consumer confidence numbers showing an increase in the Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index to 54.1.
That's up from October's reading of 49.9. According to the Conference Board, the Present Situation Index rose to 24.0 from 23.5, and the Expectations Index climbed to 74.2 from 67.5 last month.
The survey is based on a representative sample of 5,000 U.S. households and is by TNS.
