Control4 to Host Smart Home Networking Event in Utah
When one thinks of metropolitan technology hubs, Utah probably isn’t anywhere near the top of anyone’s list. But it’s easy to forget that that’s the state Control4 calls home. The Salt Lake City-based home automation brand, perhaps in hopes of driving the idea of Utah as an epicenter of innovation, announced it will host a Silicone Slopes networking event not too far from its headquarters.
The company’s Let’s Talk Tech: The Future of Smart Homes & IoT event will be held on February 27 from 6:15 p.m to 9:30 p.m. at the Karen Gail Miller Conference Center in Sandy, Utah—a suburb roughly 20 minutes south of downtown Salt Lake City. At the event, Control4 Senior Vice President of Products and Services Charlie Kindel will deliver a keynote address. The former Amazon Alexa Smart Home Chief will draw on his 30 years of experience in the industry to talk about the future of smart home systems and the IoT industry as a whole, while engaging with the audience on myriad tech topics.
Control4 said that the event will give attendees the opportunity to network with industry leaders to learn about smart home, IoT, technology development, programming, and engineering. Also, attendees will have access to a number of local, Utah-based tech groups like DevOps Without Borders, the SLC SQL User Group, and the Utah E-Commerce Group, along with other key partner companies like Blue Matador, New Relic, RSM, Sirius, Salesforce, and more.
Space for the event is limited, so Control4 encourages those who are interested in attending the networking event to get themselves signed up now.
