CTA Implements New Bag Restrictions, Enhanced Security Measures for CES 2016
In the wake of numerous global tragedies over the past few weeks, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) said that it will be implementing enhanced security measures at its upcoming CES 2016 show in Las Vegas. CTA stressed that there are no known, credible threats against CES, but the association will use the heightened awareness as a precautionary measure and to produce a safer event.
"We want a safe CES. The safety of our guests is a top priority," Gary Shapiro, president and CEO at CTA, said in a statement. "Our goal is for all of our guests - general attendees, exhibitors and members of the media- along with show personnel, to have a productive, fun and safe experience at CES while being sensitive to lines and inconvenience."
