Cutting-Edge Tech & Startups are Focus of mid-April’s Hong Kong Electronics Fair & ICT Expo
The 16th annual Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) and International ICT Expo, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will be held concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 13 to 16. The shows are an international platform for more than 3,500 exhibitors to showcase the latest electronics, cutting-edge technology and ICT solutions to global buyers. Last year, both fairs attracted over 98,000 buyers from 151 countries and regions.
The Startup Zone returns to the twin fairs this Spring to spotlight innovations across different categories such as Apps, IoT, Consumer Tech, eHealth, Robotics and Digital Business. To help startups gain exposure and meet potential investors, a series of themed events including Smart Launch sessions, pitching sessions, media pitch day and investment matchmaking sessions are being organized.
The Electronics Fair will also feature its Tech Hall, populated by five thematic zones: Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) & Mixed Reality (MR), Connected Home, e-Health & Wearables, Robotics & Unmanned Tech, as well as the newly inaugurated AI & Voice Recognition zone.
Another highlight zone, the Hall of Fame, will showcase internationally renowned brands and key electronics production centers, including Mainland China, Korea and Taiwan, will set up group pavilions at the Fair.
A series of additional events there will include the one-day “Tech Trends Symposium” anchor conference. Themed “Roadmap to the Future,” the Symposium will discuss the latest technology and application trends in AI and voice recognition technology, robotics, connected home and smart living, wearable technology, as well as VR, AR and MR.
Running concurrently with the Spring Electronics Fair, the ICT Expo is a leading event for showcasing smart city solutions and ICT technologies across all sectors. Under the theme “Smart City – Smart Living,” the Fair will showcase a range of smart city solutions including smart economy, smart government, smart living, smart mobility and smart people. Moreover, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) will share information on the latest smart city developments in Hong Kong.
A grouping of events will be arranged under the daily themes of: “AIoT - Next-Gen Connectivity;” “Data as Currency of the Future;” “Smart Living Powered by Technologies;” and “Reinventing Business with Smart Solutions” throughout the exhibitions’ four days.
