On the speaker/dock front, Marantz debuted its 150-watt Consolette (SRP: $1,199) tabletop system, which features a retractable dock for iOS devices, AirPlay, FM tuner and wide-dispersion tweeters. Denon’s 50-watt Cocoon (SRP: $599), as well as a $499 portable version, includes many of the Consolette’s features, as well as a five-hour rechargeable battery. They are scheduled to hit shelves this summer.
AVR LINES Denon refreshed its core AV receiver line with the 7.1-channel AVR-1913 (SRP: $579.99), and the 5.1-channel AVR-1713 (SRP: $449.99), AVR-1613 (SRP: $399.99) and AVR-1513 (SRP: $249.99). The 1913, 1713 and 1613 models feature Apple’s AirPlay.
The company added to its IN-Command Series of home theater receivers with the AVR-3313CI (SRP:$1199.99), AVR-2313CI (SRP:$899.99) and AVR-2113CI (SRP:$649.99), which all feature a new content platform (Sirius XM, vTuner Internet radio and Pandora); front-panel inputs; and 4K video capability. Users can also download a free upgrade for the Denon Remote App, to control their receiver via iOS devices.
