D&H Cares Raises $50,000
D&H Distributing announced Monday that its charity foundation, D&H Cares, has raised over $50,000 for various causes in its first year.
The foundation, which is run by D&H employees, has raised money for such causes as the American Cancer Society and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, as well as the Shriners Children’s Hospital, the Autism Society of America (ASA), and Ronald McDonald House Charities. The foundation is also planning events to benefit the Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute this quarter.
“Even though D&H Cares is organized around a specific recipient per quarter, we couldn’t limit the staff’s participation, or their enthusiasm, in any way. They were given authority over how the program would proceed, so they could have ownership towards the outcome,” D&H's senior vice president of sales, Jeff Davis, said as part of the announcement.
