D&H Eyes 3D
D&H Distributing announced this week that it is turning its eye towards new 3D products, seeing opportunities to cross-sell supporting products as home entertainment systems begin to incorporate 3D.
The company said in a press release that dealers should expect a big technology turnover in the near future as 3D TVs become more prevalent, similar to the adoptions in recent years of HDTV and Windows 7. These include 3D-specific accessories such as glasses, and later new gaming, computer and audio equipment.
"3D holds even more promise than LCD and plasma before it," D&H's senior vice president of sales, Jeff Davis, said as part of the announcement. "It could start a watershed of cross-selling opportunities. We’ve seen new technological developments such as this change market conditions and drive a whole new ecosystem of supporting products."
