D&M Dropping Escient, Snell Brands
D&M Holdings announced Wednesday that it is discontinuing the Escient and Snell brands, in order to "utilize all of the company’s expertise toward incorporating its innovative technologies into our core D&M brands," the company said in a statement.
The company will continue to provide necessary software upgrades for its existing products, and will still honor warranties and provide customer service for the discontinued brands. Escient and Snell technologies will be applied to existing products under the other brand names.
D&M will be focusing on its core consumer brands of Denon, Marantz, McIntosh, and Boston Acoustics, as well as its professional brands, Calrec, Allen and Heath and D&M Pro.
