DBL Makes Purchasing Hires
DBL Distributing on Thursday announced a pair of hires for its product purchasing team. Jack Southwick has been named buyer for custom Installation, cable zone and NXG product initiatives, while Robert Terkelsen will handle the photo/video, batteries and video game accessories businesses.
“We are always looking for ways to improve our pricing, product selection and product forecasting to solidify DBL as the leading distributor of consumer electronics,” the company’s senior vice president of Merchandising and Purchasing, Tim Coakley, said as part of the announcement. “Robert Terkelsen and Jack Southwick offer excellent industry and purchasing knowledge and are well equipped to assist with the company’s future growth.”
A DBL veteran, Southwick has been in the CE business for 20 years, and previously worked in e-commerce, product merchandising and sales for the company. Terkelson comes to DBL from CompUSA, where he was the company’s buyer for console games, PC games, DVD and home audio.
