De Rigueur to Showcase Fashion Line of Accessories that Offer Wireless Charging at CES 2016
De Rigueur, the French-based manufacturer of handmade tech accessories and other leather products, will introduce a new line of fashion-friendly wireless charging sleeves at CES 2016 in Las Vegas this week. The Connected Sleeve, a CES Innovation Award 2016 winner, is the first “embedded, smart, and elegant” solution for charging one’s smartphone, the company said.
Launching in late January, the Connected Sleeve by De Rigueur will work on any Qi-enabled phone, and works by simply having the smartphone inside the leather, handcrafted case. The embedded 7000mAh battery offers two full charges and 15 days of autonomy (without using the charge) through exactly zero wires. And a USB backup recharge port allows the user to charge either while on the go or at their desk.
“I am very pleased to receive this award which recognizes our interest in combining elegance and practicality, love of beautiful raw materials, and new technologies,” De Rigueur Founder and CEO Adrien Deslous-Paoli said in a statement, about his company being honored with a CES Innovation Award 2016. “We want to innovate a very traditional sector and the CES, with this award, confirms our interest in new Fashion Tech creations. It means that on the other side of the Atlantic and in the entire world too, there is a place for really useful and elegant products.”
