Dealer Data: Annual Household CE Spending Increases
Average annual spending per household on consumer electronics has jumped to $1,634, according to the Consumer Electronics Association’s recent Household and Teen CE Ownership and Market Potential Study.
The attached chart details estimated per-household spending per year for the years 1975-2007. The total factory shipments are multiplied by average retail markup to the consumer, and then divided by total number of U.S. households. The figures have also been adjusted for inflation.
