The consumer electronics department at Target accounts for about 13 percent to 14 percent of Target's business, Birke said, and is one of the store's largest divisions.
"There are enough new [CE] products that right-out-of-the-gate are at low enough prices that consumers can buy them," Birke said. "There's enough coming out that is affordable and meaningful."
