Dealerscope 2017 Hall of Fame: Glenda MacMullin, Consumer Technology Association
Glenda MacMullin, who holds a dual title as CTA’s Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer, came to the organization 12 years ago as CFO, armed with an MBA and prior experience working for the U.S. Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs, Colo., and later, when her family moved to the D.C. area, at the American Bar Association. She is a CPA, having started her working life in public accounting. “I was a military wife and moved around the country, going where the government sent us,” she said in reflecting upon the foundation of her career, which has served her in a well-traveled route that began with a Mississippi upbringing. “From someone who had been in a very secure environment, I’d been thrown into a world of having to move each two or three years… But one of the good things about being a CPA is that you’re transferable and marketable across the country. That helped me as I moved along.”
And with each of those moves came new, career-expanding opportunities at every turn.
