If there’s one takeaway from interviewing Jim Ristow it’s this: he is all about BrandSource and BrandSource is all about its members. As the current head of the AVB/BrandSource buying group, Ristow has spent the last few years helping grow AVB/BrandSource as well as its related group, ProSource, working incredibly hard to move the buying groups into the digital age.
Ristow was not always the head of a major buying group, and the path that led him to his current CEO position is one that taught him to appreciate and invest in the people of this business. Now he uses his position to continue investing in BrandSource’s members with new initiatives like succession planning and digital marketing to help them stay ahead of the pack and make the most out of their businesses.
