Name: Kyle Cashwell

Age: 24

Title: West US Territory Sales Manager

Company: Metra Home Theater Group

Years in Industry: 4

Where You Grew Up, Live Now: Born and lived in West Orlando until 2016; then moved to Daytona Beach where I now reside

Accomplishments: In 2013, my father and I were featured in a magazine for the company we founded together the prior year. We were the most innovative company in the industry at the time.

What I Like Best About My Job: I love almost everything about my job. My boss, Jessy Crabb, is easily the best leader/boss I’ve ever had, my coworkers are team players, and we have a great family atmosphere. The best thing about my job, though, is my dealers. I’ve made more friends and relationships with my dealers than I ever thought possible.

Pastime/Hobby: I play a lot of golf, even though I’m terrible.

Last Book Read: 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Favorite Movie: Just Friends

Best Concert: Periphery

My Hero, and Why: I have two. The first is Robert Fitzpatrick – a close family friend, and someone who has helped me over the years with sales, finance, entrepreneurship, real estate, and general life lessons. And Joe Cashwell – my dad, business owner, leader, the almighty know-it-all. If I’ve ever had a question i don’t know the answer to, he somehow knows the answer. Taught me the value of money, hard work, taught me to drive, mentored me, and set me up for success from a young age.

Favorite CE Product: Audio is always the game-changer for me. Nothing is more immersive for me than good audio.

If You Could be Anyplace Right Now, Where Would it Be and What Would You Be Doing?: On a cruise with my wife and daughter, for a much-needed vacation.

What Makes You Believe the CE Industry Will Thrive in the Next 5 Years: Houses just keep getting smarter and smarter. I don’t think the CE world will ever be smaller than it is this very second. Now, everyday people want bigger televisions, surround sound, voice-controlled lighting, the works. It’s not just limited to the elite homeowner that can afford a high-dollar install. We are in middle-class houses more than ever now and it’s only going to go up from here.
