Accomplishments: As president of Vanco International, I am passionate about increasing company revenue while sourcing and developing leading products for our portfolio to stay ahead of the competition in the constantly changing AV industry. I enjoy the challenge of developing solutions and strategies for distributors that bring them success with their dealers, along with building lasting distributor and dealer relationships that are the driving force of the Vanco International legacy. Some of the major accomplishments I’ve achieved since joining Vanco nine years ago include overseeing the development of our patented 2006 extender technology, launching our video wall systems and HDMI over IP systems, and initiating the acquisition of the award-winning audio company, Beale Street Audio. I’m also proud of the company-wide accomplishments made by Vanco’s various departments over the years. This year alone, Vanco has been awarded with three Residential Systems Stellar Service Awards for Sales/Marketing Support, Shipping/Freight Policies, and Warranty/Return Policy/Tech Support, as well as CE Pro Quest for Quality Awards in the Customer Service/General Communication, Sales/Marketing Assistance, Shipping Policies, and Warranty Policies categories.
CE Industry Awards: Vanco has claimed several product and company milestone awards over the past three years since I became president. Since 2018, we’ve been honored with six Residential Systems Stellar Service Awards, four CE Pro Quest for Quality Awards, three Dealerscope !MPACT Awards, two CE Pro Best of CEDIA Awards, two Residential Systems’ Best of CEDIA Awards, an AVTechnology Best of InfoComm Award, a Technology Integrator EXC!TE Award, and an Electronic House Best Smart Home Product Award.
What I Like Best About My Job: I love being able to travel around the world, interacting with and learning from our distributors and business partners. It also helps be to better understand the entire process for manufacturing while being able to determine the best quality and standards for our products.
What I like Least About My Job: My least favorite part of the job would have to be dealing with the shifts in economy and material costs, but I have learned a lot about how to deal with tariffs and increase of raw goods.

My Hero, and Why: Michael Jordan. I was a huge fan of his while I was growing up in Chicago. He demonstrates incredible leadership and has the ability to be the best while encouraging others to be their very best.
If You Could be Anyplace Right Now, Where Would it Be and What Would You Be Doing?: I would be living by the ocean with my family. We love being outside and could definitely do without another Chicago winter. In terms of my profession, I wouldn’t change a thing. I really enjoy the industry and being immersed in the ever-changing technology.
