Brief Description of Role: Responsible for all customer operations for Samsung Electronics America, including its call center, field and depot operations, and warranty administration, plus oversees the company’s Quality Assurance Lab.
Main Industry Accomplishments and Why Important to Company/Industry; Proudest Achievement: How our team has responded to changes in consumer behavior, which has evolved our customer service offerings. Connected products have changed and diversified communication channels. In response, the customer service team at Samsung Electronics America has worked hard to develop a variety of support solutions that help customers quickly access the product information they need wherever they are – at home, on their computers, or on their mobile devices. Today, we’re resolving customer inquiries through our live chat service, and we have agents ready to respond to consumers’ questions through our social media channels. I’m also very proud of the video content we’re continuously adding to our website, which helps customers address commonly reported product inquiries. These how-to videos not only save consumers time, but enable them to resolve issues and become more familiar with their products in a format that’s second nature to them.

Michael Nathan Mitchell, 33, Supervisor, Mitchell Appliance Co., Douglasville, Ga.
Background: Grew up in Douglas County, Ga.; now lives in Douglas County, “one mile from where I was raised.”

Brief Description of Role: Deliveries and installations, assist in day-to-day operations and service.
What I Like Best About My Job: The ability to spend time with my family and to assist the community with their needs.
Favorite Hobby: Hunting and fishing.
Who’s My Hero, and Why: Frank Eugene Mitchell (grandfather) who built our business from the ground up and took pride in serving our community, and my father, Michael Frank Mitchell, who raised me with a strong work ethic and took the time to teach me that God, family and country are the foundation of the great country in which we live.
Noteworthy Accomplishments: Authorized GE service provider. Mitchell also serves as Chief Deputy Coroner for his county, where he conducts death investigations and assists families during the most devastating times of their lives. He currently sits on the Child Fatality Review Board for Douglas County, involved in preventing child abuse. He is active in Douglasville’s Masonic Lodge #289. He has been married for 12 years, is the proud father of two girls, and a member of Ephesus Baptist Church.
